Glad you had a good time in KC Deidre. I love all the old building photos — it’s fun to have a 24mm lens for stuff like that. Wish I could have been there.

Hello, Eva. What an interesting perspective! When we put our art out there, whether photographs or paintings or what have you, we are only thinking of our own context. I always love to hear the experiences of others in relation to how a work of art is viewed. Would like to know more about your memories of growing up in Hamburg.

These photographs evoque such powerful emotions in me, I wonder why! Could it be very early memories of a hometown which looked completely different from today, when I was a kid? Hamburg had suffered heavy bombing, but the ruins were removed; what was left were large empty spaces between old buildings with those high brick walls and empty eyes, much like the buildings in your pictures.
