Inspiration for white work

It’s snowing again today – yeehaw. We’ve had a lot of snow this winter – I mean, a lot. I’m not inclined to go to the trouble of looking it up, but I can say that my shoveling muscles have had way more use than in recent years past. I do love winter, especially since I’m no longer required to get up early and drive through it to go to a regular desk job every day, but really – enough is enough. However, if I must endure more white outside yet again, then it’s a good day to think about white work. Here are some inspiration photos to help set the mood.

Interesting. We have no snow in Portland, but I have been thinking about how to do a white on white textile piece. I guess it is good to remember that white has lots of shades!

Beautiful photos. My fav is the last row, middle pic. Not sure why the white and black/gray is attractive to me but it’s pretty in its simplicity.

Thanks, everyone. Gerrie, looking forward to seeing what you do with your white on white piece. Monique, I’ve been partial to that photo for a long time. It’s not really a “white” image, but the writing is white, and I’ll use any excuse to post it because I love it so much!
